Literature Text

'They say that each day is a page in your life book, even those before you were born'

Shush o little soul, lost in darkness that you are
Hovering in the Fates thread, how shall it be?
Silken warm waters resting between feather soft skin
Eyes now glinting cobalt silver in liquid lakes
The darting shoal of fluttering beats, whisper through to me
Do not fear O little soul, not over your parent's mistakes
You shall be the brightest star, flickering firelight
Dusted wings gliding across moonlit night
Casting mournful ripples against mother's earth;
Come, o little soul, re-join the earthen skies, bright with light
Forget those heartbeats down in the waters that you were made
Loved not you were, but now loved fully, a child no more,
Lost in darkness you were, now brimming with untamed light
Unsleeping in the cold blue world, staring down from the great white
This is a sonnet i had to write for my English work as a practice, needless to say i didnt quite stick to the Sonnet rules, well i did but it's definatley not a very good sonnet. We were told to write a morality sonnet and i chose the theme of Abortion, as i am firmly against it.

Please - do not take, use, manipulate, alter, or claim as your own, this poem belongs entirley to me (c)

I love your word choice!  Very descriptive and abstract
